FROM February 7, 2020 Friday 12:00 AM TO June 30, 2020 Tuesday 11:59 PM

We are pleased to announce that applications for the Online 2020 Ministry Volunteer Program (MVP) workshop are now being accepted. We welcome working professionals and students who have the heart to serve to participate in this program. The program is open to all youths who have graduated high school by July 2020 and older. Underage youths will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We encourage those seeking a spiritual cultivation-based seminar to attend J2 SSC or NYTS. Interested youths should apply here by June 30, 2020.  Full online attendance is highly recommended.

Purpose: This year’s program focus will again be solely on completing ministry projects.

The projects of this MVP are:

  • Evangelical Basic Belief Videos: Participants will help to produce animated videos explaining basic beliefs in such a way that people of all ages could understand. Due to this MVP being online-only, the focus will be on the script-writing and voice-recording portions of video production.
  • Sermon Time Mapping: Team members will be responsible for indexing online sermon recordings. Once indexed, the recordings will be accessible on bible.tjc.org. When a user of RHEMA Bible App selects a verse in the Bible, one would be able to listen or watch sermons that mention the selected verse.
  • Graphic Design: Ministry volunteers will be exposed to the TJC style guide and common graphic design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) used in Literary Ministry. Volunteers will assist in ongoing Literary Ministry design projects including and not limited to pocket calendars, stock photos, posters, flyers, and Bible study guide PDF functionality.
  • Taiwan GA E2 Bible Study Guide Translation: Volunteers would translate Bible Study guides designed for E2-aged students from Chinese to English.
  • Fellowship Games – New Board Game: Since MVP is online this year, the new Bible board game started in MVP 2018 will continue at a future MVP. This project will aim to create a new board game that can be created and played virtually. Since this project encompasses all parts of creating a board game, all skills and talents can be utilized to serve in this project.
  • Fellowship Games – Figs to Figs Project: Participants will aid in finalizing a card game, Figs to Figs. Skilled writers, editors, sewers, illustrators (draw using Illustrator or Procreate), and those with extensive Bible knowledge are encouraged to join this project to contribute to bible characters descriptions & illustrations, and box creation.
  • Web Development: Learn through hands-on projects how web development plays a key part in media ministry. Aspiring developers will use basic web building tools to build a simple site. Experienced developers will apply coding or database skills to work on more advanced tasks.

Logistical Reminders:

  • Participants will be notified by email of their acceptance. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so applicants may be notified as soon as a week after their application has been submitted.
  • Full online attendance is highly recommended.
  • The event schedule will begin with the opening ceremony on July 11th at 5:30pm Pacific Standard Time
  • and will end with the closing ceremony on July 17th at 1:00pm Pacific time.
